Chris Pratt to Play Star-Lord in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

Chris Pratt has landed the lead in Guardians of the Galaxy, according to Deadline. The Parks and Recreation actor will take on the role of Star-Lord, the Guardians leader who is the offspring of a human mother and an alien father.

Zachary Levi, Lee Pace, Jim Sturgess, Joel Edgerton, and Jack Huston were some of the names previously mentioned to be in the running for Marvel’s next franchise.

The film is set to hit theaters August 1, 2014. What do you think of the casting choice?

Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Hosting the Golden Globes!

Best news of the day! Comedic dream team Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to host the 2013 Golden Globes. 

NBC made the announcement this afternoon saying,

“Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup. Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.”

Tune in January 13 to see the funny ladies take on the show’s 70th Anniversary.

Amy Poehler & Will Arnett SPLIT!

It’s the end of an era for comedy’s golden couple. Amy Poehler and Will Arnett have decided to separate after nine years of marriage. The couples’ rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly saying, “it’s very amicable.” The Parks and Recreation star and the Up All Night actor have two children together: Archie (3) and Abel (2). 

We’re kind of devastated over this one.
