Check out the first teaser trailer for Jupiter Ascending starring Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne and Sean Bean.
The sci-fi thriller, which hits theaters next July, follows a universe where humans are near the bottom of the evolutionary ladder, a young destitute human woman is targeted for assassination by the Queen of the Universe because her very existence threatens to end the Queen’s reign.
The film is written and directed by the Wachowski siblings, the same minds that brought audiences The Matrix triology and Cloud Atlas.
Mila Kunis cozies up to boyfriend Ashton Kutcher as they chat with friends at the Johnson County Independence Day Parade on Thursday (July 4) in Oxford, Iowa. The couple flew to the Midwest to enjoy the holiday in Ashton’s home state.
Mila Kunis takes the April cover duties for Marie Claire UK. Check out what the Oz: The Great and Powerful actress had to say:
On breaking barriers to get into film: “When ’70s ended I went on a mission to prove everybody wrong. I read for movies I would never do. I auditioned for everything, just to show I could do it. I needed to prove I was capable of doing things other than - forget comedy - other than a TV show.”
On how her life has changed: “To say my life hasn’t changed would be a lie. It has changed, I don’t really know how. I can’t complain, nor am I complaining, but I can’t leave my house as freely as I used to. But I’ve also travelled a lot for work, so that’s changed. I have been very lucky. I censor myself. Lately, more. But I’ve always said that it is much easier to be honest than to be caught up in a bunch of lies. At least this way, you know who you are.”
On plans for the future: “I want to explore other parts of this industry to see what aspects of it I can get myself into, so that I can… work out of home maybe? Like producing. Then I can have, like, a life, in one location.”
